With over thirty years experience, Bernadette McDonnell, founder of
Claddagh Gems, comes from several generations of stonecutters, artisans
and musicians. Some of the first gold deposits found in Ireland were
located in her native County Wicklow.
One of our best selling items is the world famous Claddagh ring. It is
available in ten, fourteen and eighteen carat gold and sterling silver,
Connemara marble, amethyst or green agate.
Traditionally, the ring is handed down from generation to generation. We
recommend the ten carat gold which is harder-wearing for everyday use.
Our hand-engraved Celtic crosses are available in several sizes - with or
without a chain.
Our most popular items are traditional pieces like the Claddagh ring,
earrings and pendants, Celtic and St. Brigid's crosses and brooches with
our native Connemara marble.
Also popular are Celtic brooches, pendants and earrings which are
fine reproductions of the famous Book of Kells, on view at Trinity
College in Dublin; beautifully hand-crafted stone set; bracelets and
bangles woven in either high quality gold filled with extra sturdy
clasps and safety chains.
